Grazing Officer — Charvaha

About This Role

Verdant Impact is hiring a Grazing Officer — Charvaha — for Verdant Cattle Stations, Rajasthan. Most job ads promise a "fast-paced environment." Ours moves at exactly the speed of a Tharparkar cow deciding whether that patch of grass is worth walking to.

What You'll Do

• Take the herd out at dawn and bring back exactly the same number. This is the whole job. It is harder than it sounds.
• Know every animal by name, mood and personality. (They have personalities. A few are drama queens.)
• Spot the one who's off her feed before our sensors do — and then tell us how you knew.
• Read the land: which pasture is rested, which is tired, where the water is holding.
• Work with our Pashu AI team. You see it in the field, we teach the machine. You're not being replaced by the technology — you're what it's learning from.

You'll Love This Job If

• 12–15 km on foot is just a normal Tuesday
• Cattle trust you faster than people do
• You'd take sunrise over a pasture above a corner office, every single time
• You learned this from your father, or his father — no degree required, only hands that know the work

You Will NOT Be Doing

• ✕Excel
• ✕"Quick syncs"
• ✕Explaining why you didn't reply on WhatsApp within four minutes
