I recently took over the management of our 15-cow dairy farm. Getting loans as a female farmer has been a hurdle. Are there specific government schemes or bank loans tailored for women dairy entrepreneurs?

Yes, Suman! Look into the NABARD Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS). They have a higher subsidy percentage specifically for women and marginalized groups. The local cooperative bank helped me file the paperwork.

Also check out the Mudra Yojana. My SHG (Self Help Group) secured a collateral-free loan through it to expand our milk collection center. Group applications are processed much faster!
